NSCC Dartmouth Waterfront Campus Radio’s complete studio equipment installation of a Digital Wheatstone X-Y surface platform plus extensive analog/digital construction of 9 Radio studios. This contract included a complete install and commissioning of Analog/Digital equipment in seven lower floor studios as well as installing a Wheatstone EV-6 digital system in the two second level studios. The project required complete installation of four analog consoles and one digital EV-6 surface as well as Talk Studio equipment, telephone hybrids, multiple sound sources along with countless relay and monitoring systems. This Digital system connects both levels of the School’s internal network and serves as the source of the Program’s streaming broadcast.

Extensive technical studio rebuild of St. FX’s Campus radio station CFXU in Antigonish, NS. A complete reconfigure, installation and redesign of a new console, routing and inter-studio pathways for multi studio audio exchange as well as a new LPFM transmitter, processing and antenna system.

Complete design and construction of CVCR LPFM Radio station in Aylesford, NS. We assembled and configured all studio equipment for both ‘live’ and automated operation as well as the install and servicing of their 50W LPFM exciter, transmitter and antenna system.

LSTechnologies recently designed and introduced a new prototype microphone and control system with PA capabilities, intended for use by municipal councils and for conference applications. This system allows the chairman to control delegate or councillor dialogue through a simple lighting and audio signal system. All microphone actions are controlled through the panel at the chair station. This system allows orderly discussions with special consideration for room acoustics, feedback filtering and staff monitoring and recording. These systems were recently installed in 3 municipal units (see below) and remain operating flawlessly. This exclusive LST system is now available to councils and municipal units across the Maritimes.

In addition to several specialized installations, including audio systems for the Town of Kentville’s Centennial Arena and Memorial Park, and for the Municipality of West Hants Sports Field at Ste. Croix. Lloyd installed the first radio station at Acadia University in Wolfville (early in his technical career).
